Myofascial Release Therapy
This modality of massage is a soft tissue (e.g. muscles) therapy for the treatment of limited ROM and pain. It aims to relax soft tissue in a continual contracted state. As well as, improve blood and lymphatic circulation and stimulate the stretch reflex in muscles.
Neuromuscular Therapy
Neuromuscular Therapy, also known as NMT, is an approach to soft tissue manual therapy in which quasi-static pressure (light pressure slowly and gradually increasing to deep pressure) is applied to the soft tissue to stimulate skeletal, striated muscles. Through applied knowledge of trigger points, NMT addresses postural distortion (poor posture), biomechanical dysfunction, nerve compression syndrome, and ischemia (limited circulation/blood flow).
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage utilizes five (5) basic strokes: 1. Effleruage-Long gliding strokes to improve circulation 2. Petrissage-Picking up and squeezing/kneading the muscle 3. Friction-Direct Pressure 4. Tapotement-Quick, light striking movements 5. Vibration-Rhythmic Shaking. Swedish massage can be performed with light, medium, or firm pressure to meet your needs.

Reflexology
Reflexology is the application of pressure to either areas on the feet, hands and/or ears. The theory behind reflexology is that these areas correspond to organs and systems of the body. Proponents believe that pressure applied to these areas affects the organs and benefits the person’s health. A Foot Chart is used to guide the practitioner through the therapy. Reflexology is generally relaxing and may be an effective way to alleviate stress.
Modern reflexology is based on an ancient form of therapy. There is evidence of some form of foot and hand therapy being practiced in China as long ago as 2330 B.C. and at the same time in Egypt, (This is depicted in the tomb of Ankmahor). The North American tribes of Indians are known to have practiced a form of foot therapy for hundreds of years.
